All journeys cost from £80-120 return either way you decide to go. You can also check the map above for details and links, but to reach Belgium the easiest you can do by car via the www.eurotunnel.com only 35 minutes and you only pay by car not by passengers. Or by foot/train www.eurostar.com via King cross st pancras, the ticket also includes any destination in Belgium. You can also fly from Standsted to Einhoven or Heathrow to Brussels www.skyscanner.net and you can rent a car at either airport for about £65 for 3 days www.skyscanner.net/carhire.
The cities of Brussels, Brugge, Ghent and Antwerp really do have so much to offer so check out which ones appeal to you most or even see them all. Here is a brief guide to the cities i put together from travel reviews or google for more information. Click on the city for info;
Once again check out the map where you will see the location of the wedding and the hotels and B&B's near by. For families with kids there are two centre parcs very nearby as well. There are other B&B's that may not be on the map so you can google and also check out www.airbnb.com for other accommodation not listed - type in Eksel, Lommel or Peer. Also if you want to camp you are more than welcome to camp at the wedding venue as we have a huge field to do so, however it may be a bit loud due to it being near the marquee.
Belgium and especially Flanders and Eksel (where the wedding is) is the heartland of cycling, there are so many routes to take which are all extremely well signposted and a lot of them are cycle only paths, so away from the roads. A must to do if you love your cycling. Here is a website that has a lot of information - www.fietsroute.org/cycling/belgium. It is also very easy to rent bikes if you don't want to bring your own.
